Hey, don’t I know you?

Just. Ugh.

Feels like a century since I’ve updated this thing. I know it can’t be more than a week, but it sure as hell feels longer. Not a good feeling at all, really. Kinda feel like I’ve let people down. I mean, there was the mini update which really didn’t say much, but at least it was something, right?

Ugh. Okay. I keep telling myself I will never, ever, EVER drink another Monster again and somehow I find myself buying one. Granted I needed it today since I’ve felt like death walking, but the caffeine high is something I’m not keen on. I definitely do not appreciate the “jitters”.

Anyway, well, I suppose I need to update you guys while I’m here. So, here it goes.

Shorts (flash fictions)—->; not gonna happen this week. Sorry guys, between homework, trying to re (re) write Blood on the Quarter and spend time with the family on (gasp) my saturday off, I just don’t have the time. Next week, though!

Blood on the Quarter—>; finally has a direction! Hooray! Someone throw some confetti, damn it. It’s been a long time in coming and I want some f*cking CONFETTI! *breathe* My last flash fiction gave me an idea about the story. Well, it didn’t really *give* me an idea per se. The idea has been percolating in my grey matter for quite some time, “Lost Boy” just gave it a kick in the ass. I’m not going to tell you what it is. If the whole “Lost Boy” thing hasn’t clued you in I’m not going to make it easy on you. You have to sit there in your little chair and think for a bit.
It’ll come to you.
All right, to be fair, I’m not going to tell you because I’m terrified that it will go away in a poof of leprechaun smoke. Wait, do leprechauns vanish like that? They do! Good. Leprechaun smoke. I will tell you that updates to the sad little section I have reserved for it are going to be more frequent. Character posts, a little history of turn of the century New Orleans, insight into the little world I’ve built within the Crescent City, fun stuff like that.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not going to happen all at once-I still have a story to write-but if you check back every so often, there will be a new post or two.

Carousel—->; will be a book! Eventually. Not any time in the near future but, eventually. The little ten chapter story I have posted up right now will, at some point, be taken down to turn it into a full-fledged novel. As it stands right now it will inhabit the same universe as Blood on the Quarter, just be set in a different time.

Blog updates—–>; if you haven’t guessed it by now, I’m a busy little camper. I don’t necessarily want to be, but, if I want the monies to pay for trips around Europe, I have to be. So, what does this mean for the blog? Well, blogging in of itself is kinda funny. I have this idea that you need a point to what you’re blogging-there’s a problem going on with the world/community/personal life and it needs to be blogged about. Not necessarily airing dirty laundry, but that’s the best way I can describe it, in the way that dirty laundry needs to be washed (discussed) so a resolution can be found (hung to dry).
Now, the “blog” section is called “ramblings” so I suppose that gives me leeway to talk about whatever is on my mind at the time. Within reason, of course, and mayhap without so much of a problem—>;resolution mindset. As it stands right now I blog about my trips, which is fun, and I do movie reviews. Also fun. I’m going to try and expand my current repertoire so there isn’t such a break in between postings.
Wednesdays and Sundays are my goal days to blog. Since it’s my homework day and I’m on the computer (or iPad as it stands), I’ll use the days to blog as well.
S’all right?

Hathor’s Cafe—->; hah! Didn’t know about that one, didya? Well, if you take a gander on my links tab it’s sitting there all by its lonesome. Well, not by its lonesome. I mean, it has friends. Sort of. Shut up. There’s more coming to the website. It is in a perpetual state of “coming soon”. I just wanted to direct you there because, well, it’s awesome. And more stuff is coming to it.
And stuff.

To sum up, a picture I stole from Facebook aptly describing one part of my life:
